About Bitter Chivalry Press

Sam Stockdale

Sam Stockdale is a UK-based writer whose work delves into themes of intimacy, restraint, and the subtle emotional weight of everyday moments. His writing, published under the Bitter Chivalry imprint, is rooted in observation rather than spectacle, discovering significance in domestic rituals, fleeting connections, memory, and the nuances between what is felt and what is articulated.

Residing in the East Midlands, he has previously
published two collections of  poetry:

 — The Rhythm of Us: Poems for Adele.

 — Ode to a Mug of Tea and Other Poems.

Becky Stockdale

Becky Stockdale was born in Weston-Super-Mare and moved to Chesterfield when she was 8 years old. She fell in love with Derbyshire, the people and the countryside, and has many happy memories there with family and friends over the past 23 years. She still lives in Chesterfield with her fiancé and their two cats, Luna and Lily.

Becky has always had a love and passion for books, reading and writing, as well as film and television. She has a National Diploma in Creative Media and still enjoys photography which she learned at college.

Today, you'll likely find her in her reading chair, enjoying the works of her favourite authors, or with her laptop, writing new novels. Either way, she's lost in a world of fiction, one of her favourite places to be.

Becky has recently published her first novel

 — Derbyshire Dreaming
